Before joining Accenture in Ireland, I had a strong will; I was determined to find a job. It did not matter if I would be an intern or entry-level job or even more challenging. The goal was to find a job!
Therefore, I made this website with my personal brand to enhance my job search possibilities. I researched color psychology to communicate on a conscious level about my "personal brand," the average length for posts or blogs, many self-assessments, searched for the most searched topics from a Recruitment Analyst, and the list is endless. But the most exciting part was that I was about to finish my thesis stage and aimed to prepare myself no matter what.
That is why I made an excel doc. where was the info of the job applied, company name, location, the application date, and if I got an interview or not. That systematic approach evolved when I applied for many job positions. That did not occur within one night! I tried rigorously to apply for as many jobs as possible during five entire months, which was my mistake.
But then met via Linkedin, Miika Ahola, who gave me encouraging words and connected me with Emma Slavov. Emma as an HR- specialist gave me the most insightful tips for applying to the Finnish job market, plus simplifying my CV visually. That gave me the most advantage since new insightful knowledge was acquired, and a new network was built.
Soon Amanda Pierce, Senior Recruitment Analyst from Accenture. Contacted me with the role of Content Review Associate with a fluent Nordic language (Finnish language) and fluent English to work with one of the world's leading tech giant Accenture.
At that instant, I thought that this must be a joke! I just graduated, and why such a phenomenal company is interested in me? I needed to take a shot! I contacted Amanda, and she gave me other recruiter information. Quickly I realized that this is serious, and they wanted to hire me.
The recruitment process consisted of two interviews. The first is where I spoke with the recruiter and was interviewed by a manager in the other interview. The manager explained the role's tasks, including responsibilities and skills required. The Content Review Associate skills consist of Business Operations Management, Critical Thinking, Operational Excellence, Problem Solving, and Service Quality Management. After knowing this, I was evaluated for the job position, and frankly, I did not know if I passed as a candidate.
However, I kept my positive attitude, continued my summer courses, and applied for other positions. Nonetheless, on Friday 28th of May at 17.20, I got a call from an Accenture recruiter telling me that I got the job position. I said YES to the work position! Also, she revealed that I would be working as an external workforce with and for large internet platform.
At this point could not be happier and full of joy. Notwithstanding, at the same time, fears and a lot of other questions arise.
Wait for part 2! It will be published next week.
