To Ireland, it is!

As in my first part of the blog, I expressed excitement towards Accenture for offering the new job position, plus having all feelings arisen. Being chosen by the world's leading tech giant Accenture and working as a subcontractor in large internet platform felt extraordinary since this summer I just graduated. Indeed, it felt a bit unreal, unbelievable, and dreamlike. I can't deny it!

However, many questions arise, such as, how am I moving to Ireland if I have so much stuff? How much is Ireland deducts taxes? Is the pandemic going to interfere at some point in my work when arriving? Does Ireland have quarantine for Eu visitors? And how long is the quarantine period? Although I had a billion questions on my mind. The most critical question was, how often can I see my loved ones? The last question was tough but necessary.

Meanwhile, when making extended pros and cons analysis. I started to sell furniture and moving out. However, the most challenging part was trying to move out and complete a summer course, plus trying to find a house in another country. Also, official papers needed to be fulfilled in Finland and Ireland. The whole summer was agitated but, at some point, rewarding. Anyway, the hardest and most painful part was farewelling. All my loved ones brought me to the airport, wishing me all the best luck with their sweetest love. All were hugged and kissed since we did not know when we could see the next time. The pandemic was on, but luckily the restrictions became later on more flexible.

The arrival into Ireland was in a cloudless sunny, and the air felt pure. The sensation of Ireland is unique and special. The entrance to the hotel was one of a kind. Imagine a short woman with three suitcases and a huge handbag struggling with the stairs and at the end one of the suitcases falling in a silent reception. At that moment, the receptionist just laughed with me and vividly said, welcome to Ireland. For sure, I did not expect that, but it was the warmest welcome I have experienced.

Later on, I needed to wait six days until I could get out of my hotel room. I thought everything else during the summer was demanding, but this was the worst part for me. But I used this time for studying and progressing in my trainings.

There was training, training, and more training...

I loved that part of doing Accenture's TQ training. The TQ training is about learning simply and effectively about technology. The main point is to understand and learn how technology it's applied, why it matters and how it works with other technologies. Also, Accenture has additional trainings for new joiners, where you can win your gold status. I think it is motivational and innovative the way trainings are planned. Besides this, I also had training at the large internet platform. There I met some of my today's collages, which support me daily. I was validated agent at week 36 and could not be happier. The extensive trainings allowed me to be where I am standing now. My story makes me a true believer that anything can happen if you are just yourself and make your best effort.
